It has been 6 years since I've had my first child and I still haven't lost the weight. Having 2 more has only added to my already overweight body. I decided to start a fat camp blog so I have someone to be accountable to, even if it's just to myself. I'm tired of dodging cameras ( I don't want to document this fat body) I'm missing out on life with my kids. I'm tired of not feeling sexy even though my amazing husband tells me I am. I'm tired of wearing sweats because I refuse to buy clothes since I feel like that would give into my size. And I'm just plain tired. So here it is for everyone I weigh 218lbs....wow! My goal is to lose 80lbs hopefully by August. I have a couple of weddings next year and I want to be chasing down the photographer not running from him. I will try to post healthy recipes or tips for the day and hopefully you will join me on my journey. Or rather walk beside me on your own journey.
So today is day 1 and it is rough! I ate so much sugar and crap over the holidays that I am having withdrawls. I think about sweets all day long. My body sees the chocolate chips and is willing me to make a batch of cookies. My mind is weakly telling me to stay strong. So far I have been good. Today I have eaten:
yogurt with 1/2 c cottage cheese
Apple with 2 TBS of peanut butter
6 mandarin oranges
15 raw almonds
salad with boiled chicken
So I am not concentrating yet on calorie intake or fat yet. I am concentrating on getting a protein with my meals. I took a bag of chicken and boiled it with like 12 cloves of garlic to add a little flavor. I bought the bag o salad from costco. The cherry and blue cheese one. I split the salad in half between my husband and myself and added 4 oz of my boiled chicken. I went for a walk this morning. I think it was like 3 miles. I'll drive it later and figure out for sure.
P.S. Stan is my nickname I got as a child. If you are wondering why my blogs are signed as Stan that's why. Oh and the picture of me is the only one I found and I'm about 18lbs heavier now. But fat is fat...I'll try to take a picture...we were lucky enough to go to Hawaii in April. It was a blast even if our 4 month old came along with us.
Hey Janis, there's a website called www.mapmyrun.com You can go on and map your runs/walks (go figure, based on the name), you can do it where you follow roads, or if you're on trails you can do a satellite view and follow that way. I think it's pretty cool, cause like weighing myself, I'm obsessive about knowing EXACTLY how far I've ran/walked! And it's nice to not have to go drive them all, and not be limited to roads :).
